Money Assessment

This is my first year teaching 2nd grade and I needed an assessment for my unit on money.  I searched and searched, but couldn't find anything that I liked to copy borrow.  I even tried Mastery Connect, one of my newest favorite sites to get assessments aligned to the common core standards, so I created my own!

Feel free to use it if you can!  Clip art is from Clipart ETC, a Florida based site offering free math clipart for teachers.

Dropbox

Have you heard of Dropbox?  My husband got me hooked!  I was constantly forgetting my flash drive or misplacing it and now I don't have to worry about any of that!  I have been using Dropbox for almost 2 years now and I am so glad that my husband introduced me to it!  With Dropbox you no longer need a flash drive or have to worry about whether you saved a file on your home or school computer.  You can even use Dropbox to share files on your blog through the Public folder!

Dropbox is a free web-based file hosting service operated by Dropbox, Inc. that uses cloud computing to enable users to store and share files and folders with others across the Internet using file synchronization.

If you're interesting in using Dropbox, sign up through the link below and both you and I will get an extra 250 MB of storage free!

Open House, a Freebie, and Pinerly

Before school starts we have a Curriculum Night to talk with parents and Open House is always in the Spring.  Our Open House is this Thursday and I still feel like there is so much to accomplish!  The students made a slideshow during computer to show their parents what it's like to spend a day in 2nd grade.  We also have been working hard on many projects to have on display.  This year I decided to re-create a student brochure that I came across last year to fit my class.  Ms. Morgart from Curls and a Smile created the original, which is perfect for a Fall Open House.  Be sure to check it out!  Feel free to grab a copy if you can use it!

I made a version for each grade K-3.

Have you heard of Pinerly?  A Pinterest friendly dashboard made by Pinterest fans.  It's a new way to organize your pins and see your stats (kind of like blogger) and helps you to find pinners with your same interest, but they only let you try it out if you get people to sign up!  Would you help me out?
